Who we are:
The BCIT Real Estate Association (REA) is a student run organization passionate about personal development, learning and real estate. Our goal is to facilitate a greater learning opportunity and experience for students through connecting with industry professionals. We strive to be the most professional and organized student club, as well as the leaders for connecting students with industry. The REA achieves this through networking, guest speaker events, current market knowledge, and high levels of communication through our website and meetings.
The Professional Real Estate Program at BCIT is recognized for its focus, intensity and application of practical skills. The REA is designed to complement the programs curriculum, and create the opportunity for students to build valuable relationships.
What we need:
On April 21, 2011, the REA Executive Board and it's members will be electing a new executive board for the 2011/2012 school year. We are looking for motivated candidates for the following positions:
- President
- VP Membership and Communication
- VP Finance and Administration
- VP Events and Marketing
If you are interested in running for a position, please contact one of the board members for a job description. details. Each candidate will have to present a 3-5 minute powerpoint presentation for their desired position describing the following:
- Why you should be chosen for the position
- What qualities you will bring to the board, and
- Relatable experiences
All powerpoints must be emailed to Rob by Wednesday April 20,
Who we're looking for?
Are you ambitious, interested in networking, and have a passion to give back to your school and your fellow students? Are you passionate about your education and do you hope to get the most outof your time at BCIT? If this sounds like you, here are a few more characteristics were looking for:
- Interested in gaining leadership experience
- Interested in gaining valuable public speaking experience
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize
- Ability to delegate tasks as well as take direction
- Excellent ability to set and follow through on goals
- Ability to work in teams and individually
- Professional and driven, but with the ability to keep it light
Above all else, we are looking for someone who will care about the club, not let things fall behind when school gets busy, and who will care about and respect the people they will be working with.
