A million things to do

As the leaves change from green to orange, the library once empty and silent becomes full of life. The fresh look you had the first week of September diminishes, the bags under your eyes grow bigger and darker, and sleep seems like something you could only dream about. Sometimes you feel like there are not enough hours in a day, days in a week or months in a year. You feel this because you procrastinated studying for that big exam or the final print out of that term paper, both anxiety and stress builds up.

Time management is key to anyone who has limited time. It is important to look at time as a commodity, wasted time equals wasted money. Understand that doing things at the last minute is really expensive. When there are many tasks handed to you it is important to ask yourself: Why Am I doing this? Does it help me get to my goal?

To do lists: write one have one. Planning is essential; in order keep track of what needs to be accomplished. Plan for your day, week, or semester, it’s easy to change your plan but always have one.  Prioritize your tasks by working on the tasks that are due first and the most important, next do the tasks that are important but not due soon, doing this ensures that you are never rushing an important task, and then finish all the projects that are not important. As we all know a midnight email may cause stress and anxiety for the next 24 hours however, in order to make life simpler stay organized and don’t waste time.
